There have been reports for a couple weeks about the upcoming album from Aretha Franklin. Now the wraps are off and we know that Aretha is releasing Aretha Franklin Sings The Great Diva Classics on October 21 on RCA Records. The album will include new versions of well worn songs like "At Last," "I Will Survive," "People" and "Midnight Train to Georgia."

The initial buzz about the album has been about the Queen's take on Adele's monster hit, "Rolling In the Deep." The rousing version of the song rolls into an interlude from the Motown "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," before coming back again. Aretha sounds like, well, Aretha, and this appears to be a song that folks are either going to love or hate.
