(June 28, 2022) It’s one thing to be an artist, but it’s quite another to be an artist who knows the music business. SiFred “KeyNote” Mitchell is an artist who knows the music business.  Not only is he a singer, songwriter, and producer; he’s also an Independent A&R/Consultant and Artist/Brand Manager with over 25 years of experience in the music industry.

As a background singer, he toured with the likes of Bobby Brown, Queen Latifah, and LL Cool J, and as a member of the A&R Department at MCA (now Geffen) Records, he worked with artists such as Mary J. Blige, Avant, and Nicci Gilbert (of Brownstone).

Throughout SiFred’s career, his commitment has always been to bring out the best in every artist and project he’s involved with.  Now he gets to do that for himself as he steps from behind the scenes to center stage by releasing his own songs. One of SiFred’s first singles is “I Can’t Believe,” which he says is “about finding that special one and proving everyone wrong who doubted the relationship would last.”  Although a love song, this track isn’t a ballad; it’s a funky jam that’ll get you grooving from the moment the beat drops.  In other words, the tune is made for the dance floor.  It could even work for the Soul Train Line at family functions.

“I Can’t Believe” is already seeing success on the charts too, reaching the top 10 of Amazon Music's Top 100 R&B New Releases.  The single will be on SiFred’s forthcoming and long-awaited debut album, “Rooftops, Fire Escapes & Subway Cars,” which he calls his “biggest accomplishment to date.”
